By now you’ve probably heard about the new fad, drone use in real estate. Maybe you’ve seen one of the cool aerial video tours, or maybe you’ve had one done on your own listing. I agree, they can be very helpful when done right. The question isn’t if drone use in real estate is helpful to a potential buyer or not.
I think we could all agree that drone aerial videos can be very helpful, especially on larger acreage and ranches. The question is how the FAA views the use of drone videos in our real estate marketing.
I am not writing this post because I agree with the FAA, I am just reporting the information from a recent article I read by the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) where the FAA clarifies that drone use in Real Estate marketing is not allowed.
I was recently honored by REALTOR Magazine to be featured in an article about real estate blogging and marketing online. After the real estate market crumble of 2009, I got busy and started learning some online marketing tricks and SEO strategy to better serve my clients and future proof my real estate business.

The Power of the Blog- Troy Schuyler developed his communications strategy after years of experimenting. “For me, blogging is No. 1, hands down,” says Schuyler, an associate broker with Century 21 The Neil Company Real Estate in Roseburg, Ore. “Social media is secondary, more as a way of promoting my blog, which is the focus of my… Read More Here…

Buying or selling a home is never a piece of cake, as anyone who has bought or sold a home… ever. The key to a happier transaction and better real estate experience is preparation. I’ve found buyers and sellers who take the time to understand the process and prepare for the buying or selling journey end up happier than those who don’t.
Each transaction is different, and each has its own challenges and obstacles. It can, however, be much easier if you know everything that is involved in a real estate transaction and have the right tools in place.
I’ve worked hard to create a website that helps educate potential clients for the task ahead of them. Once we meet, I’ll make sure you understand the process from start to finish, and promise to communicate regularly along the way.
Whether we end up working together or not, I hope the information you find on this site helps you have a great real estate experience and a successful sale.
My marketing plan, as reported in the Realtor Magazine, is very unique and was designed with one thing in mind… to achieve results for my clients. It has proven itself to be very effective and has made many Roseburg area home buyers and sellers very happy. You can read some of my client testimonials here.

Ahh, springtime, a time for fresh growth and new life. In much the same way, this is the time of year that we start to see the real estate market reveal whether it’s going to be a buyers’ or sellers’ market. If you’re thinking about selling a house this spring, this information will give you a better chance of selling in a shorter amount of time.
What’s the difference between a seller’s and buyers’ market? In a buyers’ market we typically see a higher number of homes for sale and lower prices. In a sellers’ market we expect to see a lower number of homes available, higher prices, and sometimes even bidding wars. [Read more…]
Are you selling a house connected to a septic tank? If a septic tank inspection is on the contingency list, you need to know there are new DEQ rules for septic inspectors. I just received an email from Brian Willetts with A-1 Septic & Power Rooter Service. They are a local Roseburg septic tank installer who also pumps and inspects septic tanks. Brian’s email brought me up to speed on some important changes regarding septic tank inspections. [Read more…]
